Discipline Procedures

General information concerning our school discipline procedures is published in the Student Handbook. In Grades Kindergarten through Eight, special area teachers will follow the discipline procedures as outlined by the grade level teachers for minor offenses

Homework Procedures

Although homework will be posted daily on SchoolNotes, it will be the responsibility of the student to copy assignments accurately and completely into his/her planner during the class period. In Grades Kindergarten through Eight, special area teachers will follow the homework polices as outlined by the grade level teachers.

Grading Procedure

In physical education, students in Grades 4 to 8 will receive a numeric grade of “1-4” indicating the level of performance demonstrated (See Rubric below). Skill level, participation, effort and sportsmanship will be considered in evaluating a student’s performance.

 

2009-10 Report Card Grading:

4- Exceeding standards
3- Developing appropriately
2- Needs improvement
1- Unsatisfactory

Rubric for Physical Education:

4- Demonstrates complete understanding of and high achievement of
the physical education standards targeted during the marking period

3- Demonstrates satisfactory understanding of and adequate
achievement of the physical education standards targeted during the
marking period

2- Demonstrates some understanding of and minimal achievement of
the physical education standards targeted during the marking period

1- Demonstrates little or no understanding of and limited achievement
of the physical education standards targeted during marking period
