Discipline Procedures


General information concerning our school discipline procedures is published in the Student Handbook.  In Grades Five through Eight, Spanish students will follow the discipline procedures as outlined by the grade level teachers for minor offences.

Homework Procedures


Although homework will be posted daily on Schoolnotes, it will be the responsibility of the student to copy assignments accurately and completely into his/her planner during the course of the school day.  In Grades Five through Eight, Spanish students will follow the homework polices as outlined by the grade level teachers.

Grading Policy

In Spanish class, students in Grades 5 to 8 will receive a numeric grade of “1” –“4” indicating the level of performance demonstrated. (See Rubric). Grades will be based upon quizzes/tests, homework, in class assignments, project work and participation.

Report Card Grading

4    Very Good

3    Good

2    Satisfactory

1    Unsatisfactory

4         Participates in class; completes homework assignments on time; receives an average of 90% or above on all tests, quizzes, and projects during the marking period.

3        Participates in class; completes homework assignments on time; receives an average of 80 to 89% on all tests, quizzes and projects during the marking period.

2       Minimal participation in class, homework assignments missing; receives an average of 70 to 79% on all tests, quizzes and projects during the marking period.

1       Minimal participation in class, homework assignments missing; receives an average of 69% or below on all tests, quizzes and projects during the marking period.
