Discipline Procedures

General information concerning our school discipline procedures is published in the Student Handbook  In Grade Three, this procedure will be in place:

The primary behavior chart will be used to reinforce classroom rules and monitor homework assignments.  Parents are asked to review the chart daily and sign weekly.

Homework Procedures

Although homework will be posted daily on SchoolNotes,  it will be the responsibility of the student to copy assignments accurately and completely into his/her planner during the course of the school day.

In Grade Three, we also have these procedures in place.

  • Homework will need to be completed daily.
  • If homework is not completed and a note is not received from the parent, the student will sign the Homework Book.

Grading Procedure

In Grade Three, we will evaluate the students in their daily work, homework, tests, quizzes and projects.

Service Project

This year, the students in Grade Three will participate in a year-long service project.  Each student will be paired up with a homebound pen pal from Briarleaf Nursing Home.  Throughout the year, students will make cards for their pen pals.  At Christmas, they will meet their pen pal and sing carols.
