Discipline Procedures

General information concerning our school discipline procedures is published in the Student Handbook. In Grade Two, this procedure will be in place:

The primary behavior chart will be used to reinforce classroom rules and monitor homework assignments.  Parents are asked to review the chart daily and sign weekly.

Homework Procedures

Although homework will be posted daily on SchoolNotes, it will be the responsibility of the student to copy assignments accurately and completely into his/her planner during the course of the school day.

In Grade Two, these procedures will be in place:

• Homework will be assigned daily and signed by a parent.
• If homework is not completed, the student will sign the Classroom Book.
• More than three missing assignments during a trimester will result in a reduced grade on the report card.

Grading Procedure

In Grade Two, students will be evaluated on their daily work, class participation, homework completion, tests, quizzes and quality of individual and/or group projects.

Service Project

This year, the students in Grade Two will participate in a year long service project. The classes will collect supplies and basic necessities for LaSalle Academy, a catholic school for the less fortunate. The school is supported by the Christian Brothers and the Sisters of Mercy as well as many private donors.
